Are You A Northerner Or A Southerner?

Hey there guys. How was your day? I hope you all are doing well. Today we will be discussing an important topic Are you a Northerner or Southerner? North Americans and South Americans have totally different lifestyle and culture. North Americans are more work focussed while the South Americans are much more tied to their traditions and nature. I see nothing wrong in any of these.

There are many people who say that South Americans are illiterate and there is racism going against them. I don’t know when will the world would get over these idiotic things. We only progress when we liberalize things. Most of the North Americans have come out of it but still there are a few people who don’t seem to get this. We should be thinking as a species rather than based on stupid divisions like nationalities, color, gender and much more. It we don’t take a look into it then it would blow way out of proportion and we might never get out of it. Though I am hopeful and believe that surely we would come out of it and will have a much better future.

The Southern people are discriminated because they are a bit less educated but that doesn’t means that we should be bashing them for this very reason. Many of the Southerners are farmers and that is why they need to work on fields for long hours with their hats on which turns their necks red. They are shamed due to this and are called rednecks. It is absolutely wrong in my opinion and we should not discriminate people based on one’s physical features. Constructive criticism is necessary but this doesn’t comes under constructive criticism and we should be aware of it. We should get to know this.

I hope you liked my short article. If you have any insights into the topic then feel free to share it down into the comments section below. Play the quiz as well and don’t forget to share it with your friends and family. I hope to see you in my next article

“Every culture has its southerners — people who work as little as they can, preferring to dance, drink, sing brawl, kill their unfaithful spouses; who have livelier gestures, more lustrous eyes, more colorful garments, more fancifully decorated vehicles, a wonderful sense of rhythm, and charm, charm, charm; unambitious, no, lazy, ignorant, superstitious, uninhibited people, never on time, conspicuously poorer (how could it be otherwise, say the northerners); who for all their poverty and squalor lead enviable lives — envied, that is, by work-driven, sensually inhibted, less corruptly governed northerners. We are superior to them, say the northerners, clearly superior. We do not shirk our duties or tell lies as a matter of course, we work hard, we are punctual, we keep reliable accounts. But they have more fun than we do … They caution[ed] themselves as people do who know they are part of a superior culture: we mustn’t let ourselves go, mustn’t descend to the level of the … jungle, street, bush, bog, hills, outback (take your pick). For if you start dancing on tables, fanning yourself, feeling sleepy when you pick up a book, developing a sense of rhythm, making love whenever you feel like it — then you know. The south has got you.”

“Jerusalem was capital of southern Israel, known then as Judah. Isn’t it true that there’s always a rivalry between north and south? North and South Korea, North and South Vietnam, Northern and Southern Ireland, Yankees and Rebels, uptown and downtown. Somebody please tell me why that is? Maybe southerners get too much sun, like Mr. Sock over there, frying his threads, and northerners don’t get enough (although I hardly think northern Israel a cool spot in the shade), but southern peoples–tropical and downtown types–always seem to lean toward decadence, whereas uptown, in the north, progress is favored. Decadence and progress obviously are at odds.”
