Are You More Elsa or Anna?

Anna and Elsa are among the most famous characters in the entire Disney World.

Let us discuss them in brief:

1. Anna – As we all know she is the protagonist of Disney’s 2013 feature film Frozen. She is the daughter of King Agnarr and Queen Iduna. She is the ruler of Arendelle and the elder sister of Elsa. During her childhood, she suffered from an accident due to her magic and that created a rift between the two sisters. This left Anna devoid of any human interaction for many years. Yet, Anna was very big-hearted and optimistic in nature. She worked hard to break the wall that was created years ago between them. She often goes out of her way to save her kingdom.

The filmmakers had a pretty hard time figuring how will they create a connection between the two female leads. They were pretty confused since the two characters were completely different and had nothing to do with each other. Things got rolling when a filmmaker suggested to make them as sisters. The team then was able to stitch a story where the characters seemed a bit more relatable.

2. Elsa – She is the older sister of Anna and is also as famous as Anna. Daughter of King Agnarr and  Queen Iduna she was the former queen of Arendelle. She had the powers of ice and snow and believed that are powers are monstrous and hence remained isolated to protect her family and her kingdom. This turned her to be underconfident but as the story progress we see how through Anna’s love she becomes normal.

If you closely look at the story you would realize that she was more of a misunderstood heroine than anything else. At the end she remains in the forest rightly called as the Snow Queen.

“You think the only people who are people, are the people who look and think like you. But if you walk the footsteps of a stranger, you’ll learn things you never knew you never knew.” – Pocahontas”
― Disney

“Exactly. These guys just want me to play Snow White singing in her little cottage while they do all the work.’
Lucy snorted. ‘Snow White and the Seven Buttheads. You could give Disney a run for their money.’
Nicholas poked her in the ribs. ‘I am not a singing dwarf!’
‘No, you’re a butthead. Weren’t you paying attention?”
― Alyxandra Harvey, Blood Feud

“If you don’t like Cinderella because she seems so “naive” and “weak,” listen to this quote from the Walt himself: “She believed in dreams, all right, but she also believed in doing something about them. When Prince Charming didn’t come along, she went over to the palace and got him.”
― Walt Disney

“I like to think that nothing’s final, and that everyone gets to be together even when it looks like they don’t, that it all works out even when all the evidence seems to say something else, that you and I are always young in the woods, and that I’ll see you sometime again, even if it’s not with any kind of eyes I know of or understand. I wouldn’t be surprised if that is the way things go after all – that all things end happy.”
― Jodi Lynn Anderson, Tiger Lily

“All over the world major museums have bowed to the influence of Disney and become theme parks in their own right. The past, whether Renaissance Italy or Ancient Egypt, is re-assimilated and homogenized into its most digestible form. Desperate for the new, but disappointed with anything but the familiar, we recolonize past and future. The same trend can be seen in personal relationships, in the way people are expected to package themselves, their emotions and sexuality, in attractive and instantly appealing forms.”
― J.G. Ballard, The Atrocity Exhibition
