Childhood is one of the happiest parts of our lives. It is said that a person is happiest during his/her childhood. I would agree on that statement and I would say that to an extent that this is true. If you are someone who is not from a developing country then you would know what I am saying. The fact is that many children living in poor families don’t have such rosy childhood as we have. They are often malnourished and often don’t get the same amount of love and care that we get. It is said that if you are born in even a mediocre family then you have won one of the greatest lotteries.

Because it is a fact that we don’t control where we are born and to whom we are born. It is just a matter of luck and people like us have already won the game. You might not know what it is like to be born in a poor family. Our society is setup in such a way that the poor is always stripped off opportunities. They don’t have ample opportunities in life and they have very few ways to make their living and support their family.

We should remember these things before we ask the question why the poor remains poor? The rich people have thousand of opportunities and time to hit on those opportunities. While a poor person doesn’t have that. We might feel that childhood is the happiest part of a person’s life but it might not be true for poor people.
