Can We Guess If You Prefer Physical or Emotional Attraction?

We, humans, are biological beings and hence at all times, we are attracted to people both physically and emotionally. Physical attraction is more common though since it could even happen for strangers. Though generally there is no problem when it comes to physical attraction it becomes an issue if you are not able to separate it from other feelings. In short most of the time it is misunderstood as love. This is one of the most common misunderstandings that youngsters commonly fall for.

They get into very toxic relationships and waste their life’s most important resources: time, money, and energy. The most important one being time. We have a very short life and if we waste time in these toxic relationships then we are on the path to lead a very unhappy life. Don’t get me wrong I don’t mean that there should not be any physical attraction since it is the primary motive of nature revolves around reproduction. It is in our genes and we can’t ignore it completely even if we wanted to. If you look at the research paper of Harvard regarding love then you would realize that lust and attachment are the components of love.

Emotional attraction is also one of the components of love and a very important one because without it relationships have no meaning once you move towards the late phase of life. We seek emotional security in our partners because they are the ones with whom we could share our darkest secrets. There are many people who don’t realize this fact and have a very sour relationship.

Relationships are one of the most complicated topics on the planet. The best advice I can give you is to avoid it till you are successful in your career. You may have a very fruitful relationship even without you being successful but the point is that one should not take risks because if things go down then you will be having something as a backup. People often underestimate the power of money and it is the greatest mistake one could ever do.

“That’s always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people want to be around someone because they’re pretty. It’s like picking your breakfeast cereals based on color instead of taste.”
― John Green, Paper Towns

“The power of a glance has been so much abused in love stories, that it has come to be disbelieved in. Few people dare now to say that two beings have fallen in love because they have looked at each other. Yet it is in this way that love begins, and in this way only.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

“I had not intended to love him; the reader knows I had wrought hard to extirpate from my soul the germs of love there detected; and now, at the first renewed view of him, they spontaneously revived, great and strong! He made me love him without looking at me.”
― Charlotte Brontë, Jane Eyre

“I was always attracted not by some quantifiable, external beauty, but by something deep down, something absolute. Just as some people have a secret love for rainstorms, earthquakes, or blackouts, I liked that certain undefinable something directed my way by members of the opposite sex. For want of a better word, call it magnetism. Like it or not, it’s a kind of power that snares people and reels them in.”
― Haruki Murakami, South of the Border, West of the Sun

“Tonight was… well, it was perfect for me too. You’ve turned my world upside down. I’ve fallen in love with you, chica, and it scares the fuckin’ shit outta me. I’ve been shakin’ all night, because I knew it.I’ve tried to deny it, to make you think I wanted you as a fake girlfriend, but that was a lie.”
― Simone Elkeles, Rules of Attraction
