Can You Name These Makeup Brands From Their Motto?

Authors have observed that the vocabulary and interest patters of children with high IQ differ drastically from those with an average IQ, as they differ in skill and coordination and process things differently. While there are such ostracising circumstances, such conditions may not be typical. Based on the review of published empirical studies, it is believed that children with high IQ are not stricken by social insufficiency rather are filled with content in terms of adjusting and relating to their peers and adults. Janos (1984) placed together Terman’s 46 boys of IQ 170 and above with male boys of the same age but moderately high IQ. The experiment found out that the social situation of both the groups were very different, as the parents and others around tend to ensure that social adjustment is not at risk because of intellectual development.

But the review by Janos in 1983 also found that a significant minority face troubles in socially adjusting. Such problems leads to loneliness, isolation, and finding appropriate peers. Another root of this problem is parents who get aware of their child’s intellect and focus extensively on development of their child intellectually which often comes at the risk of lacking social skills. There are writers who are more impressed with the troubles faced by the minorities than the successes of the majority. The present study focuses on friendship patterns and several characteristics involved it.

“Consider the fact that maybe…just maybe…beauty and worth aren’t found in a makeup bottle, or a salon-fresh hairstyle, or a fabulous outfit. Maybe our sparkle comes from somewhere deeper inside, somewhere so pure and authentic and REAL, it doesn’t need gloss or polish or glitter to shine.”
― Mandy Hale, The Single Woman: Life, Love, and a Dash of Sass

“When I was your age…I wish I’d known that I already had everything I needed within myself to be happy, instead of looking for happiness at beauty counters.”
― Ilene Beckerman

“Feminism and femininity are not mutually exclusive. It is misogynistic to suggest that they are. Sadly, women have learned to be ashamed and apologetic about pursuits that are seen as traditionally female, such as fashion and makeup. But our society does not expect men to feel ashamed of pursuits considered generally male – sports cars, certain professional sports. In the same way, men’s grooming is never suspect in the way women’s grooming is – a well-dressed man does not worry that, because he is dressed well, certain assumptions might be made about his intelligence, his ability, or his seriousness. A woman, on the other hand, is always aware of how a bright lipstick or a carefully-put-together outfit might very well make others assume her to be frivolous.”
― Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions

“Failed relationships can be described as so much wasted makeup.
Forget the laughs, forget the fights, forget the sex, forget the jealousy. But take off your hat and observe a moment’s silence for the legions of unknown tubes of foundation, mascara, eyeliner, blusher and lipstick who died that it might all have been possible. But who died in vain.”
― Marian Keyes, Watermelon
