Do You Have An Addictive Personality?

Hey there guys. How was your day? I hope you all are doing well. Today we will be discussing an important topic How much of a smartphone addict are you? If you see around yourself you would realize that we all are addicted to one thing or the other. It is just that we don’t recognize it. But addicted people are everywhere.

The reason why we fail to detect addicted people is due to the fact that most of the times we only considers things like drugs, masturbation etc as addictive. But we failed to realize that addictions could be as simple as your smartphone addiction. You may find people around yourself who are constantly looking at one screen or the other. They simply don’t get tired and are in a way damaging themselves. Addictions destroy us. They kill our productivity and turns us into douchebags.

If we don’t check our addictions in time then it is only a matter of time when we will be destroyed by it. Many of the times when I tell people they are addicted to something or the other. They don’t recognize it because it is subtle and takes your inner conscious to recognize it. An addicted person will always make excuses that it is healthy and they are actually happy with it.

Many of the youths are getting destroyed due to just that. Youths always have this tendency to try out new things. But someone should tell them that we don’t need to try out every other thing. We could remain happy with our daily lives. You just need to find a purpose in your life and then you are set to go. If you are highly addicted to your smartphone then it may destroy your eyes and sleep cycle. Smartphones are awesome piece of tech but they can be equally dangerous if not used properly.

I hope you liked my short article. If you have any further insights into the topic then feel free to share it down in the comments section below. Please play the quiz as well and don’t forget to share it with your friends and family.

“I have absolutely no pleasure in the stimulants in which I sometimes so madly indulge. It has not been in the pursuit of pleasure that I have periled life and reputation and reason. It has been the desperate attempt to escape from torturing memories, from a sense of insupportable loneliness and a dread of some strange impending doom.”
― Edgar Allan Poe

“I admire addicts. In a world where everybody is waiting for some blind, random disaster or some sudden disease, the addict has the comfort of knowing what will most likely wait for him down the road. He’s taken some control over his ultimate fate, and his addiction keeps the cause of his death from being a total surprise.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Choke

“I understand addiction now. I never did before, you know. How could a man (or a woman) do something so self-destructive, knowing that they’re hurting not only themselves, but the people they love? It seemed that it would be so incredibly easy for them to just not take that next drink. Just stop. It’s so simple, really. But as so often happens with me, my arrogance kept me from seeing the truth of the matter.
I see it now though.
Every day, I tell myself it will be the last. Every night, as I’m falling asleep in his bed, I tell myself that tomorrow I’ll book a flight to Paris, or Hawaii, or maybe New York. It doesn’t matter where I go, as long as it’s not here. I need to get away from Phoenix—away from him—before this goes even one step further.
And then he touches me again, and my convictions disappear like smoke in the wind.

“There are all kinds of addicts, I guess. We all have pain. And we all look for ways to make the pain go away.”
― Sherman Alexie, The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

“If you are an approval addict, your behaviour is as easy to control as that of any other junkie. All a manipulator need do is a simple two-step process: Give you what you crave, and then threaten to take it away. Every drug dealer in the world plays this game.”
