Do You Have What It Takes to Be a Model?

Horror isn’t always about demons, spirits, clowns or zombies. Good horror can also mean less blood and more thriller and brains. As much as it is scary to watch psychological thriller it is also something that intrigues you. This genre uses suspense in a way that almost makes the audience suffer but also make them like it and leave them wanting more. This genre has left most of at the edge of our seats with intensely horrifying movies which have nothing to do with voodoo, paranormal activities or shark attacks. Full of suspense and no clue for audience to figure out will happen next, we have some of the best movies from this genre below listed. Though Alfred Hitchcock’s movies have dominated this genre for a long while, we have managed to come up with something much more contemporary and different which you won’t be able to resist yourself from.

‘Psycho’

With the name of the movie in the very term of the genre, you just can’t miss this movie. One of the most renowned films by Alfred Hitchcock about a man, Norman Bates who is obsessed with his mom and runs a motel where are protagonist ends up staying, a young woman who has no idea about what will happen next in that creepy motel.

‘The Shining’

Something so scary that it will ruin carpets, tricycles, twins and hallways for you. Based on Stephen King’s novel, it is a story about a man’s journey down into the depths of insanity and something that you will remember forever. Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation despite of being scary is indeed a must watch.

“The secret to modeling is not being perfect. What one needs is a face that people can identify in a second. You have to be given what’s needed by nature, and what’s needed is to bring something new.”
― Karl Lagerfeld
“Eustacia Vye was the raw material of a divinity. On Olympus she would have done well with a little preparation. She had the passions and instincts which make a model goddess, that is, those which make not quite a model woman. Had it been possible for the earth and mankind to be entirely in her grasp for a while, she had handled the distaff, the spindle, and the shears at her own free will, few in the world would have noticed the change of government. There would have been the same inequality of lot, the same heaping up of favors here, of contumely there, the same generosity before justice, the same perpetual dilemmas, the same captious alteration of caresses and blows that we endure now.”
― Thomas Hardy, The Return of the Native
“Give him Bigfoot with an AK-47, a room full of sugar-induced five-year-olds, or any supermodel on the circuit in a little black dress playing a private game of cops and robbers with his fly, and he’d be fine. Wouldn’t break a sweat. But, put him within fifty feet of Maddie Freemont? He turned into a tongue-tied, forgot-his-own-name, card-carrying member of the idiot brigade.”
― Kelly Moran, Under Pressure
