Charm was one of the core subjects taught at Hogwartz School of Witchcraft and wizardry. Charms is a required subject for the first five years in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The spells learned in Charms were taken from ancient textbooks. The children were also taught of how to spell the charms properly and how to do the hand movement. If you love to know more about charms then google it. Charms was the favorite subject for quite a few students including Hermione. She also loved Arithmancy during her later years and she picked it for her major.

In the student’s fifth year they need to take an Ordinary wizarding Level Examination. It also had a Charms subject. It contained of two parts. One was theory and the other one was pratical. The theory paper consisted of questions concerning the history and mechanisms of working of charm. The practical exams was were the students were made to perform several charms. The total score decided whether they will be taken into the course or not. It followed the pattern of our real world where higher O.W.L decided whether or not they would attend the N.E.W.T level.

Professor Flitwick taught Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Harry had some good terms with Professor Flitwick. They both performed several powerful charms during their free time.

Hermione was also one of his favorite students simply due to her intelligence.

She was one of the few students who could perform some of the most difficult charms. Harry also learned a great deal of charms from him.

Ron was also awesome in charms but sometimes due to his wrong pronunciation, he created havoc in the entire Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Ron was not mischievous but it was due to his inability of pronuncing charms which created all the trouble. Later he practised the charms more and more and he soon became an expert. If you want to learn more about charms then you need to google it. Charms classes are held in Class 99 in the South Tower and Classroom 2E along the Charms Corridor on the third floor, near the Third-floor corridor.
