How basic are you really?

Frugal living is something that I highly recommend. It saves you one of the most precious and hard-earned thing that is money. Money in turn could save you from a lot of hardships and can give you the freedom to enjoy that quirky hobby that you left since you were busy in your chaotic life.

Being basic is often looked down upon by many people since frugal living means spending below your means and that pisses off people. People have the habit of revving their financial engine as much as they could and when they don’t see you doing it they feel jealous of you. They also have a guilt that they had wasted so much money on things they never really wanted and fell into the traps of big companies.

All the companies want your money and don’t give a shit about your well-being. Happiness is seem to be that one thing which almost the entire modern world is chasing so badly. In modern societies, we all have our basic needs covered like food, shelter, and water. But the point is that we still are not happy and we seek for something more. We are constantly searching for happiness and this endless search in my opinion causes more sadness than the other way around.

Also, most of us have linked our happiness to materialistic things like money, fame, or other such things but I would like to inform you that happiness comes from within and if you are not happy from within then reaching that X amount of salary, Y number of followers will not get you happiness.

“The most basic and somehow forgettable thing is this: Love is not pain. Love is goodness. And real love–it’s less shiny than solid and simple.”
― Deb Caletti, The Secret Life of Prince Charming

“In essence I find that the foundation of modern conservatism is driven by a clinging to God in fear of the world, whereas the foundation of modern liberalism is a clinging to the world in fear of God; albeit, the true foundation should be one’s clinging to God in fear of God.”
― Criss Jami, Salomé: In Every Inch In Every Mile

“In my dream, it was the tongue of what is, and anything spoken in it becomes real, because nothing said in that language can be a lie. It is the most basic building brick of everything.”
― Neil Gaiman, The Ocean at the End of the Lane

“Someone. Everyone. Anyone. No-one. One. One can’t be everyone, but there isn’t more than one everyone, at the same time. And at the same time no-one can’t be someone, but anyone can be one, and also anyone can be a no-one. To sum up – everyone is someone, and any-one becomes a no-one if you divide the one part long enough by every part of every-one, so in conclusion, I have no idea what I’m talking about, basically.”
― Will Advise, Nothing is here…

“As I indicated in an earlier chapter, it is so important to pause and think through some of these basic issues while you are young, before the pressures of job and family become distracting. Everyone must deal with the eternal questions sooner or later. You will benefit, I think, from doing that work now. As I said earlier, whether you are an atheist, a Muslim, a Buddhist, a Jew, a New Ager, an agnostic, or a Christian, the questions confronting the human family are the same. Only the answers will differ.”
