How Carefree Are You?

Being carefree is not that easy in this ever-increasingly chaotic world. A modern human is running after several different goals made by others. The sad reality is that most of us don’t even realize and keep running after it that does nothing but makes us unhappier. We could not get over it if we don’t get the fact that being happy and carefree is in our hands only. Don’t get me wrong I am not suggesting that you stop running after your goals. I just want to say that your goals must be from your very own mind. You need to have concrete reasons why you need to run after your goals. Even if you can’t figure out the exact reason you at least need to enjoy chasing your goals. If you are chasing goals for money, fame, or to get approved by someone then you may lead a very unhappy life.

It is also a fact that many of us are not in a position to change ways due to several reasons and if that is the case then you could using your free time for chasing your own goals. You could also try contacting people that are already successful in what you are trying to achieve. This will help you tremendously in reaching your goals.

You could also turn to spirituality and meditation. It is a fantastic time for introspection. In my opinion, everyone must have a specific time when they could talk with themselves. You would often come across questions that you might not ever have thought about. This time will also help you think clearly since there are no external disturbances. It has a great positive impact on your mental health and it is something that we all should adhere to.

Being carefree and happy is very difficult in our modern lives. We are also constantly juggling among our several fake versions of ourselves. It is an extreme burden to our soul and it may lead to many psychological issues. I hope that I had helped you in getting a step closer to a truly carefree and happy life.

“Whatever condition we are in, we must always do what we want to do, and if we want to go on a journey, then we must do so and not worry about our condition, even if it’s the worst possible condition, because, if it is, we’re finished anyway, whether we go on the journey or not, and it’s better to die having made the journey we’re been longing for than to be stifled by our longing.”
― Thomas Bernhard, Concrete

“I’m an atheist, and I don’t have any belief in an afterlife. You could say that I’m resigned to the fact that this wonderful life that we get here is it. And having hit 60, it’s a good time to get resigned to these things and not be too nervous or upset – and enjoy what great times one can have.”
― David Gilmour

“If you were a bird, and lived on high,
You’d lean on the wind when the wind came by,
You’d say to the wind when it took you away:
“That’s where I wanted to go today!”
― A.A. Milne, When We Were Very Young

“Childhood is the time of man’s greatest content. ‘Tis during these years of innocent pleasure that the little ones are most free from care. […] Their joy is in being alive, and they do not stop to think. In after-years the doom of mankind overtakes them, and they find they must struggle and worry, work and fret, to gain the wealth that is so dear to the hearts of men.”
― L. Frank Baum, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus

“Anyway, I think the two of you should be free to do whatever you want right now. When you’re young, you think the only way to happiness is the hard road… but it’s actually much simpler than that.”
― Inio Asano, Solanin

“Carefree Scamps, you see, know the inevitability of their fate. If they can’t identify this, then they’re off-track. Rag, Tag & Bobtail don’t know their destiny, or perhaps they just accept it for what it is. But those who feel they may have been born on the Wrong Planet are masters of their own fate, even though they often come across their inevitable future on the very road they took to escape it. If this is you, and I think it is – otherwise you wouldn’t have read so far into this nutty book – then I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you as a Scamp.”
