How Many Kids Will You Have?

The study which was done by comparing students of high IQ with students with moderately high IQ and their parents. The comparison was done by making them answer a set of questions, which resulted revealing things like, students with high IQ tend to have friends older than them as being smart makes it harder for them to have friends of their own age. The report was prepared by the support of William H. Donner Foundation. Paul M. Janos (Ph.D.) Assistant Director of the Early Entrance Program, Kristi Marwood (S.A.), and Nancy M. Robinson (Ph D.) Professor of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. are affiliated with the Child Development Research Group at the University of Washington, Seattle.

There is an agreement when it comes to professionals talking about how difficult it is for students with higher IQ to socialise and make friends. In spite of the impressive consensus among scientist, most authors (Tannenbaum, 1983, is an exception) cite but one or two primary sources or evidence: Hollingworth’s (1942) set of case studies of children having IQs greater than 180 and, occasionally, Terman and Oden’s (1947) special section on children of IQs greater than 170.

“I have a passion for teaching kids to become readers, to become comfortable with a book, not daunted. Books shouldn’t be daunting, they should be funny, exciting and wonderful; and learning to be a reader gives a terrific advantage.”
― Roald Dahl

“I think that the best thing we can do for our children is to allow them to do things for themselves, allow them to be strong, allow them to experience life on their own terms, allow them to take the subway… let them be better people, let them believe more in themselves.”
― C. JoyBell C.

“You know all that sympathy that you feel for an abused child who suffers without a good mom or dad to love and care for them? Well, they don’t stay children forever. No one magically becomes an adult the day they turn eighteen. Some people grow up sooner, many grow up later. Some never really do. But just remember that some people in this world are older versions of those same kids we cry for.”
― Ashly Lorenzana

“no, no, it’s not all random, if it really was all random, the universe would abandon us completely. and the universe doesn’t. it takes care of its most fragile creations in ways we can’t see. like with parents who adore you blindly. and a big sister who feels guilty for being human over you. and a little gravelly-voiced kid whose friends have left him over you. and even a pink-haired girl who carries your picture in her wallet. maybe it is a lottery, but the universe makes it all even out in the end. the universe takes care of all its birds.”
― R.J. Palacio, Wonder
