How Well Do You Know The Human Mind?

With the name of the movie in the very term of the genre, you just can’t miss this movie. One of the most renowned films by Alfred Hitchcock about a man, Norman Bates who is obsessed with his mom and runs a motel where are protagonist ends up staying, a young woman who has no idea about what will happen next in that creepy motel.

‘The Shining’

Something so scary that it will ruin carpets, tricycles, twins and hallways for you. Based on Stephen King’s novel, it is a story about a man’s journey down into the depths of insanity and something that you will remember forever. Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation despite of being scary is indeed a must watch.

‘Shutter Island’

Indeed one of the most thrilling works of Leonardo DiCaprio who is headed towards an insane asylum on a creepy island. It is impossible for the audience to make something of the movie until it ends. Though he goes to the asylum because a murder has escaped but he has no idea what he is in for and neither does the audience. You will be completely flabbergasted but that will stop at the end of it because after that all you will be is scared to your core.

“I think… if it is true that
there are as many minds as there
are heads, then there are as many
kinds of love as there are hearts.”
― Leo Tolstoy, Anna Karenina

“Stories you read when you’re the right age never quite leave you. You may forget who wrote them or what the story was called. Sometimes you’ll forget precisely what happened, but if a story touches you it will stay with you, haunting the places in your mind that you rarely ever visit.”
― Neil Gaiman, M Is for Magic

“Stop giving other people the power to control your happiness, your mind, and your life. If you don’t take control of yourself and your own life, someone else is bound to try.”
― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart

“My mind,” he said, “rebels at stagnation. Give me problems, give me work, give me the most abstruse cryptogram or the most intricate analysis, and I am in my own proper atmosphere. I can dispense then with artificial stimulants. But I abhor the dull routine of existence. I crave for mental exaltation. That is why I have chosen my own particular profession, or rather created it, for I am the only one in the world.”
― Arthur Conan Doyle, The Sign of Four
