What Do Your Color Preferences Say About You?

Colors are what makes our world beautiful. Almost, everyone has a favorite color. Mine is blue. Let me know yours in the comment section down below.

Psychologists differ on whether colors have any link to our personalities. Remember we are not mental health professionals so take everything written in this post with a grain of salt.

Let us discuss what does your favorite color say about you.

Blue

Those who like blue are seeking peace in their life. People loving the blue color are often introverts in nature. They introspect a lot and try to look at a particular situation from various perspectives. More often than not they are intelligent but may lack confidence.

Pink

It would not be wrong to say that those who love Pink are hopeless romantics. They are very compassionate and invest genuinely into their relationships.

Red

Red represents dominance, drive and determination. Red is loved by those who don’t play safe and have a very hard time if they find themselves stagnating. They are considered as optimists and are highly ambitious in nature.

White

They prefer simplicity over anything else. Logical by nature they tend to do everything according to the rule book. Attention to detail is one of their defining characterstic. While they might seem a bit-aloof they are constantly solving problems in their head.

Black

People loving black have a very rich inner world. More often than not they are extremely intuitive in nature. This is the reason why they are so great at art. May seem calm and balanced from outside but their emotions could let them go haywire. Great genuine folks.

Yellow

People loving yellow have a very positive vibe and are generally very enthusiastic towards life. They have this natural curiosity to live life to its fullest. Eternal optimists by nature they have a very hard time seeing the negatives in a situation. Could be spontaneous as well.

Green

Nature is the closest friend of those who love green. They love spending time in nature to wind down from the hustle and bustle of our modern lives. They don’t get caught away in the details and they are more of a big picture person.

“You know the days when you get the mean reds?
Paul Varjak: The mean reds. You mean like the blues?
Holly Golightly: No. The blues are because you’re getting fat, and maybe it’s been raining too long. You’re just sad, that’s all. The mean reds are horrible. Suddenly you’re afraid, and you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Do you ever get that feeling?”
― Truman Capote, Breakfast at Tiffany’s

“After sleeping through a hundred million centuries we have finally opened our eyes on a sumptuous planet, sparkling with color, bountiful with life. Within decades we must close our eyes again. Isn’t it a noble, an enlightened way of spending our brief time in the sun, to work at understanding the universe and how we have come to wake up in it? This is how I answer when I am asked—as I am surprisingly often—why I bother to get up in the mornings.”
― Richard Dawkins

“The downfall of the attempts of governments and leaders to unite mankind is found in this- in the wrong message that we should see everyone as the same. This is the root of the failure of harmony. Because the truth is, we should not all see everyone as the same! We are not the same! We are made of different colours and we have different cultures. We are all different! But the key to this door is to look at these differences, respect these differences, learn from and about these differences, and grow in and with these differences. We are all different. We are not the same. But that’s beautiful. And that’s okay.In the quest for unity and peace, we cannot blind ourselves and expect to be all the same. Because in this, we all have an underlying belief that everyone should be the same as us at some point. We are not on a journey to become the same or to be the same. But we are on a journey to see that in all of our differences, that is what makes us beautiful as a human race, and if we are ever to grow, we ought to learn and always learn some more.”
