What Is Your Emotional Intelligence?

Hey there guys. How was your day? I hope you all are doing well. Today we will be discussing an important topic What is your emotional intelligence? Emotional intelligence is one of the buzz words of the 21st century. Do you know why they are called buzz words? It is because of the fact that is seen that it evokes an emotional response in many people. While if you are a psychopath then you would feel nothing. So let us talk about Emotional Intelligence.

It has been seen that many people referring emotional intelligence different from IQ but it has been found statistically that they are highly correlated and may be not the same. While it also depends greatly on the fact that how you define IQ and emotional intelligence. But we would have to agree on a common definition to start with. IQ is a very peculiar thing. There are many different aspects of IQ and all of them are very highly correlated to one another and it is said in statistics that if two quantities are very highly correlated in predicting something then there is no point measuring it multiple times.

This is the reason why most of the people who do well in one aspect of an IQ test tend to do well in all IQ tests. While you might be asking now that why we are talking about IQ so much but I guess we need to use it to make you clear what emotional intelligence exactly is. A genuine IQ test is made up of taking multiple things into account. One such thing is emotional intelligence. Hence we could conclude that IQ is a common set of all different types of intelligence like emotional intelligence.

It has also been argued several times that a person might be above average in one type of intelligence and bad or average in others but this is simply not true.I hope you liked my short article. “Highly sensitive people are too often perceived as weaklings or damaged goods. To feel intensely is not a symptom of weakness, it is the trademark of the truly alive and compassionate. It is not the empath who is broken, it is society that has become dysfunctional and emotionally disabled. There is no shame in expressing your authentic feelings. Those who are at times described as being a ‘hot mess’ or having ‘too many issues’ are the very fabric of what keeps the dream alive for a more caring, humane world. Never be ashamed to let your tears shine a light in this world.”

“One of the easiest ways to discover if someone is compatible with you is to gauge their emotional intelligence. Are they a kind and sensitive person? Will they be respectful towards your sensitivities? Or, are they emotionally stunted? Remember, we tend to attract narcissistic types who lack empathy.”

“When the management iceberg is shaped like a huge phallus, you know that there are a lot of tossers that the top penguin has had to climb over to reach the tip and that there is no shortage of the same caliber of penguin in the balls and shaft of the corporation, just waiting for their chance to get a spurt to the top. Should I sugar coat this a little more? or tell it like it is?”

Empathy is what makes people feel safe in relationships. Along with self-awareness, it’s the soul of emotional intelligence, guiding people toward prosocial behavior and fairness in dealings with others. In contrast, nonempathic people overlook your feelings and don’t seem to imagine your experience or be sensitive to it. It’s important to be aware of this, because a person who isn’t responsive to your feelings won’t be emotionally safe when the two of you have any kind of disagreement.”
