What Should You Teach If You Were A Teacher?

Teaching is considered to be one of the noblest professions. Many of us have always dreamt of becoming a teacher.

Let us check out what qualities we need to become a teacher.

1.The ability to build a relationship with the students.

This is by far the most important factor in my opinion. If a teacher fails to establish a relationship then no matter how knowledgable the teacher is, students will fail to connect with the teacher and hence will not be interested in what they are saying. They need to listen to their problems and work upon it. Many of the teachers who are considered bad by students often seem to be communicating in only one way. They don’t get student’s feedback and hence they are never able to improve their teaching skills.

2.Knowledge of learners.

It is very important to know the learning capacities of their students. Students could be of varying ages and they should be treated differently, for example, students at the age of 20 will have different learning patterns than students at the age of 10. Teachers should know exactly the average capabilities of their class and deliver accordingly. They should also take care of students who have different requirements as much as possible.

3.Dedication to teaching

Teaching is a very tough job and one cannot survive in it if they are not dedicated towards it. Their lack of dedication will some creep into their way of teaching. If the teacher feels motivated then he/she feels will be able to motivate students who are least interested in that subject. The motivation to teach should simply not fade away.

4. Making the learning material more engaging

It is also seen that interesting content or making it look interesting makes a great impact on how students perceive the lecture. Even if the content is full of knowledge it might not be appealing to students and that may turn their interest down in that particular student. Teachers should give their best in making the content as engaging and simple as possible.

While in my opinion the aforementioned problems are the most ones, I bet they are not the only ones. If you feel that I had missed something then feel free to share it down into the comments section below.

“One thing: you have to walk, and create the way by your walking; you will not find a ready-made path. It is not so cheap, to reach to the ultimate realization of truth. You will have to create the path by walking yourself; the path is not ready-made, lying there and waiting for you. It is just like the sky: the birds fly, but they don’t leave any footprints. You cannot follow them; there are no footprints left behind.”

“He’s not doing anything he shouldn’t be doing, right?”
“Like what?”
“Like hitting on you.”
“Ew. No, of course not. He doesn’t see me that way.”
Michael shook his head and went back to his coffee.
“What? You think he does?”
“Sometimes he looks at you a little… oddly, that’s all. Maybe you’re right. Maybe he just wants you for your blood.”
“Again, Ew! What’s with you this morning?”
“Not enough coffee.”

“Laurel, David? Would you like to share the joke with the rest of the class?” he asked, one hand on his skinny hip.
“No, sir,” David said. “But thank you for asking.” The students around them laughed, but Mr. james didn’t look pleased. Laurel leaned back and grinned. David, one. Teacher who wishes he was as smart as David? Zero

“The only good teachers for you are those friends who love you, who think you are interesting, or very important, or wonderfully funny; whose attitude is:
“Tell me more. Tell me all you can. I want to understand more about everything you feel and know and all the changes inside and out of you. Let more come out.”

And if you have no such friend,–and you want to write,–well, then you must imagine one. ”
