What’s the Hidden Meaning of Your Name?

You might not have realized it but names have a significant impact on the personality. Though I don’t believe this but I have seen many people who all belief in it. There are many reasons which they cite. One of the most logical ones which I heard was that during the childhood days our brain is getting programmed and if we call the baby by his/her name then they get programmed according to it. I think that this is true and it might have some impact on the child’s personality. Whatever it may be the names are an interesting characteristic feature.

There are some interesting facts which are related to names which I would like to share with you. The first one being if you meet a stranger, and while you are talking if you often refer to her by his/her name then he/she will feel more connected to you. It happens subconsciously and the person might not even realize it. It is a very interesting psychological trick which I often use when I talk to strangers. There is yet another psychological trick related to names. The thing is if you call someone by his/her name then they would respond. You might say that hey this one was obvious but they don’t respond you subconsciously it is actually a stimuli. They will show some kind of response even if they don’t want to.

It might come in handy in many places you just need to find an opportunity. Also the sweetest word in any language is your name. “It’s the questions we can’t answer that teach us the most. They teach us how to think. If you give a man an answer, all he gains is a little fact. But give him a question and he’ll look for his own answers.”
― Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man’s Fear

“And I came to believe that good and evil are names for what people do, not for what they are. All we can say is that this is a good deed, because it helps someone or that’s an evil one because it hurts them. People are too complicated to have simple labels.”
― Philip Pullman, The Amber Spyglass

“My name,” I whispered in her ear, and she shivered with pleasure. “Say my name again. Not in anger, or disgust, but as you did just now. As if I am the only man in the world who can satisfy you.
~Liam C.”
― J.J. McAvoy, Ruthless People

“I want no blood from you–not until we’re both sweaty and naked and you’re screaming my name.”

“Juliette.” I close my eyes. He says, “I don’t want you to call me Warner anymore.” I open my eyes. “I want you to know me,” he says, breathless, his fingers pushing a stray strand of hair away from my face. “I don’t want to be Warner with you,” he says. “I want it to be different now. I want you to call me Aaron.”
― Tahereh Mafi

“If you have no faith in yourself, then have faith in the things you call truth. You know what must be done. You may not have courage or trust or understanding or the will to do it, but you know what must be done. You can’t turn back. There is now answer behind you. You fear what you cannot name. So look at it and find a name for it. Turn your face forward and learn. Do what must be done.
