Which Angelina Jolie Character Are You?

When talking about 2019 one shall never forget the greatness of this year in terms of being a cinematic year. The plethora of grand documentaries, comedies, thrillers, drama and action-adventure that this year has given us indeed makes it one of the most successful cinematic years. There’s has been something for almost everyone be it blockbusters to under-the-radar triumphs. Therefore it becomes even more necessary to list down few of many epic films that ruled 2019.

1.The Lighthouse

Robert Eggers’ “The Lighthouse” is about two men who are tempted by the light in complete darkness. A work of period-piece insanity, the movie is starts on a New England rock covered in crashing-wave mist and bombarded with torrential rain. Starring Robert Pattinson as Ephraim Winslow and Willem Dafoe as Thomas Wake, the film explores the tension between these two lighthouse keepers over the latter’s possessiveness of the lighthouse. The cinematography of the film is exceptional as it is shot in 4:3 black-and-white, giving the action appear like a weathered cold photograph when pieced together with the ornate storybook dialogue. The story is different as it deals with guild, shame and greed, which brings out the spite within. Dafoe’s curse and Pattinson’s wild-eyes lunacy match on a level of creativity that no one can imagine. Eggers make this tale one of the most haunting cautionary tale that shakes the souls of the audience by being unforgettably oblique.

“Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Don’t let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form. Risk being seen in all of your glory.”
― Jim Carrey

“Me plus you. (Imma tell you one time) Me plus you. (Imma tell you one time)
Me plus you. (Imma tell you one time)
One time.
When I met ya girl my heart when knock (knock knock)
Now them butterflies in my stomach won’t stop (stop stop)
Even love is a struggle and it’s all we got.
So we gun keep keep climbing to the mountain top.
‘Cause your world, is my world, and my breath is your breath, and my heart is yours…”
― Justin Bieber

“My friends say I’m a fool to think that you’re the one for me, I guess I’m just a sucker for love. (love love) ‘Cause honsetly the truth is that you know I’m never leaving, ’cause your my angel sent from above. (bove bove) Me and you can do no wrong. My money is yours give you a lil more ’cause I love ya, love ya. With me girl is where you belong…

-Love Me”
― Justin Bieber

“Theatres are curious places, magician’s trick-boxes where the golden memories of dramtic triumphs linger like nostalgic ghosts, and where the unexplainable, the fantastic, the tragic, the comic and the absurd are routine occurences on and off the stage. Murders, mayhem, politcal intrigue, lucrative business, secret assignations, and of course, dinner.”
― E.A. Bucchianeri, Brushstrokes of a Gadfly,

“I fight cynicism. It`s too easy. It`s really boring. It`s much harder to be positive and see the wonder of everything. Cynicism is a bunch of people who aren`t as talented as other people, knocking them because they make them feel even more untalented.”
― Ewan McGregor

“There we were – demented children mincing about in clothes that no one ever wore, speaking as no man ever spoke, swearing love in wigs and rhymed couplets, killing each other with wooden swords, hollow protestations of faith hurled after empty promises of vengeance – and every gesture, every pose, vanishing into the thin unpopulated air. We ransomed our dignity to the clouds, and the uncomprehending birds listened. Don’t you see?! We’re actors – we’re the opposite of people!”
― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
