Which Disney Princess Do You Look Like?

Disney has been an important part of our childhood. It really shaped us who we are today. If you feel that it was an overstatement then I would like to reconsider your judgment. We all know that majority of our personality traits, tendencies, likes, desires and even phobias arise from our childhood. It is that stage of our human development where we all are getting programmed.

How do we get programmed? We get programmed by our surrounding factors. Our parents are closest to us when we are born that is the reason why you might have seen that either we are completely like our parents or completely different from them. You also might have seen that your natural abilities had stemmed from your childhood. Your childhood seems to be the deciding factor in majority of your decisions in life. Disney and other such cartoon shows are the reason why some people see the world from a very optimistic lens. And when those expectations are not met when we reach adulthood we get sad and often times depressed.

I am not saying that cartoon is bad but I feel they sometimes oversimplify reality and present before the children a reality that is just too ideal. Things are not that ideal in the real world. You would face rejections, disappointments, cheating and much more. All that things are those which you don’t see in cartoons. That saying “Truth is stranger than fiction”. It is true that truth and reality is often not what you see in movies or read in books but what you experience. There are a plethora of variables which these movies or cartoons just don’t consider.

“Whatever comes,” she said, “cannot alter one thing. If I am a princess in rags and tatters, I can be a princess inside. It would be easy to be a princess if I were dressed in cloth of gold, but it is a great deal more of a triumph to be one all the time when no one knows it.”
― Frances Hodgson Burnett, A Little Princess

“But as you age, you lose other, even more important things, like friends-hopefully only bad friends, who maybe weren’t as good for you as you once thought. With luck, you’ll be able to hang on to your true friends, the ones who were always there for you….even when you thought they weren’t.

Because friends like that are more precious then all the tiaras in the world”
― Meg Cabot, Forever Princess

“And now Rocky is begging me to watch Dora the Explorer with him. I understand that millions of kids love Dora and have learned to read or whatever from her show. But I wouldn’t mind if Dora fell off a cliff and took her little pals with her”
― Meg Cabot, Forever Princess

“I wish I could say when Michael’s dark eyes met mind, I was completely cool and collected about seeing him again after all this time, and that I laughed airily and said all the right things. I wish I could say after having pretty much single-handedly brought democracy to a country I happen to be a princess of, and written a four-hundred-page romance novel, and gotten into every college to which I applied (even if it’s just because I’m a princess), that I handled meeting Michael for the first time again after throwing my snowflake necklace in his face almost two years ago with total grace and aplomb.
But I totally didn’t.”
― Meg Cabot, Forever Princess

“You, what are you? The brat of lucky parents who were related to a childless king. There is no such thing as royal blood. I believe we are what we make ourselves, and as such, you, Crown Princess, are nothing.”
― Shannon Hale, The Goose Girl

“Hey, times are tough, and thirty gold coins can do a lot of good. But I guess you wouldn’t know about needing money, since you grew up like a little princ…”
(Rapunzel glares)
“Prin… soner. I mean, prisoner! A prisoner in a tower, such a shame, that.”
― Shannon Hale
