Which Subject At Hogwarts Would You Totally Own?

Astronomy

The Astronomy Tower (Astronomy Tower)

Astronomy was the only topic at Hogwarts that had a direct counterpart in the Muggle world. Professor Aurora Sinistra taught astronomy classes in the Astronomy Tower, which is the tallest tower at Hogwarts. Lessons included using telescopes to observe the night sky. Every week at midnight, lessons were held, with first-year students having lessons on Wednesday. Learning the names of stars, constellations, and planets, as well as their locations, motions, and conditions, were among the known student homework activities.

Charms

Charms were a form of spell concerned with bestowing new and unforeseen properties on an entity, and thus this class focuses on learning spells of that nature. Since the lessons are essentially practical, Charms classes have been characterised as notoriously noisy and chaotic.

Dark Arts (only from 1997 to 1998)

Dark Arts is the main article (class)
Dark Arts was only made a subject and required for all students during the 1997–1998 school year, when Amycus Carrow taught it. The school year, it took the place of Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Defending Against the Dark Arts

Alastor Moody taught a DADA class to fourth-year students in 1994.

D.A.D.A. (Defense Against the Dark Arts) was a class that taught students defensive tactics to defend against the Dark Arts and to protect themselves from dark creatures.

No Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher stayed at Hogwarts for more than one year during Harry Potter’s tenure there. Quirinus Quirrell, Gilderoy Lockhart, Remus Lupin, Bartemius Crouch Jr. as Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody, Dolores Umbridge, Severus Snape, and Amycus Carrow were among them. Hagrid proposed it “They’re starting to believe the work is cursed. For a long time, no one has lasted long.” Voldemort jinxed the spot, according to Dumbledore, because his application for it was refused. Snape had also expressed interest in the role, but he was turned down. In 1996, Snape was eventually promoted to D.A.D.A. professor. The jinx on the spot was removed after the Second Wizarding War ended. Harry Potter would come to class every now and then to give lectures on the subject.
