Who is Your ’80’s Movie Husband?

There were many fine actors in the 80s. Some of them were the crush of millions of women around the world.

Let us discuss a few of them:

1.Sylvester Stallone

During the 80s it was all about being the alpha male. Sylvester Stallone through his roles was conveyed that an average person could also fight with bad people. You could see this in the theme of ‘Rocky’ where he beats poverty through his hard work and persistence. It is truly inspiring and it is one of the most loved movies of all time.

2.Al Pacino

Al Pacino is a very versatile actor and a heart-throb for the women of the 80s. He played a wide range of roles from very serious ones like the Scent in a movie and the Godfather to more comedic roles in Dick Tracy. He is one of the most skilled actors of that time.

3.Bruce Willis

Bruce is also one of the veterans of the Hollywood industry. He had played almost every role under the Sun from a psychiatrist to a prisoner. Till today he had grossed around $2.5 billion which is among the highest in the industry.

4.Charlie Sheen

He is the son of Martin Sheen. His career started way back in 1984 with the teen drama Red Dawn. He is also a versatile actor but the general public recognizes him mostly in his comedic roles. It will not be wrong to say that he could have much more only if he had made the correct decisions. In spite of all this we could still conclude that he had a significant contribution to the film industry.

There were many more talented actors during this time who completely ruled the audience’s mind. Though we still have many highly talented actors, one could not deny that the industry saw most of its talented actors during this decade.

“It starts so young, and I’m angry about that. The garbage we’re taught. About love, about what’s “romantic.” Look at so many of the so-called romantic figures in books and movies. Do we ever stop and think how many of them would cause serious and drastic unhappiness after The End? Why are sick and dangerous personality types so often shown a passionate and tragic and something to be longed for when those are the very ones you should run for your life from? Think about it. Heathcliff. Romeo. Don Juan. Jay Gatsby. Rochester. Mr. Darcy. From the rigid control freak in The Sound of Music to all the bad boys some woman goes running to the airport to catch in the last minute of every romantic comedy. She should let him leave. Your time is so valuable, and look at these guys–depressive and moody and violent and immature and self-centered. And what about the big daddy of them all, Prince Charming? What was his secret life? We dont know anything about him, other then he looks good and comes to the rescue.”
― Deb Caletti, The Secret Life of Prince Charming

“We love films because they makes us feel something. They speak to our desires, which are never small. They allow us to escape and to dream and to gaze into the eyes that are impossibly beautiful and huge. They fill us with longing. But also. They tell us to remember; they remind us of life. Remember, they say, how much it hurts to have your heart broken.”
― Nina LaCour, Everything Leads to You

“Have you ever seen The Last of the Mohicans?”
“I love it.”
“Really?” I’m over the moon. We share a movie. Finally, we’re on the same planet.
“Don’t you love the part where he says, ‘Stay alive. I will find you’?” I ask.
“I love that massacre scene,” he says, like an excited little boy, “where they’re walking down that path in the middle of nowhere and they’re surrounded by the woods and you know the Indians are going to attack and it’s so tense.”
Things that make you go hmmm.
― Melina Marchetta, Saving Francesca
