2. 2000: When The South Park Creators Brought Back Iconic Red Carpet Looks
If you have watches South Park will agree that the Creators have an excellent sense of humor. They were invited for their song “Blame Canada” from the South Park movie. It was nominated as the Best Original Song. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone showed up on the red carpet. They wanted the event to be a memorable one and so they came dressing up in women’s clothing – but not just any other one. They mimicked the famous outfits worn by Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow years earlier. Parker wore the Jennifer Lawrence’s low cut 2000 Grammy Awards dress while Stone imitated the pink Gown of Gwyneth Paltrow’s 1999 Oscar dress. In an interview to Hollywood Reporter, they said that their choice of dress was not well received by other celebs.
